La Clique: Olivier Award-winning burlesque show to debut at Crown Perth in May


In a coup for local cabaret fans, Olivier Award-winning show La Clique will arrive at Crown Perth in May for its first-ever local run.

Known for its ethereal movements and sassy performers, the trailblazing show is celebrating its 20-year anniversary world tour.

It will enjoy a two-week stint at Crown Nightclub Eve from May 9.

A pioneer of the burlesque world, La Clique has garnered global acclaim since its launch at Edinburgh Fringe in 2004.

Creative producer David Bates — and owner of the original Spiegeltent — said while the show had never arrived in WA, others it has inspired along the way have played locally.

“We are absolutely delighted to finally bring the original and the best to Perth on the lands of the Whadjuk Nyoongar people,” Mr Bates said.

“With a cast of international artists at the top of their game, it’s not just a show, it’s a sensation. Sexy, funny, dangerous, come and enter our world of pure, joyful entertainment.”

Audiences should expect a night of laughs, amazement, and the unexpected.
