Essendon midfielder Nik Cox continues to battle concussion effects in his bid to return to the Bombers’ senior side.
Channel Seven reported Essendon are consulting with the AFL after having Cox front an independent concussion panel.
Seven said Cox, the No.8 pick in 2020, had headaches after playing in the VFL recently, which has sidelined him again.
The 200-centimetre Cox, now 23, was the first of three-straight picks for the Bombers in 2020 – followed by Archie Perkins (No.9) and Zach Reid (No.10), who’re both in action tonight.
