MANCOS – The Mancos girls (5-9, 3-4 3A/2A/1A SJBL) picked up a crucial home win over Telluride in a defensive struggle, 22-18, on Thursday night. Senior Caylee Moore led the Jays with 10 points while classmate Destiny Kramer added seven and freshman Tymbri Priestley tallied four.
The Bluejays boys team (1-12, 0-7 3A/2A/1A SJBL) fell 68-39 in their meeting with the Miners. Mancos returns to the court on Saturday for a meeting with Ouray.
