Apple is dishing out free AirPods as popular offer returns for a limited time


The summer holidays might have just started, but now is a good time to check out the latest back-to-school offers from Apple. The US technology giant always unleashes some big incentives at this time of year and there’s currently the chance to take delivery of some popular AirPods wireless buds for free.

This eye-catching freebie is available to students heading off to university with AirPods 4 and AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation up for grabs when buying a new MacBook or iPad.

“Save on Mac and iPad for uni, choose AirPods or an eligible accessory,” Apple confirmed.

Along with getting AirPods without paying for the privilege, Apple is also offering money off its premium products. This incentive means the stunning new MacBook Air M4 starts from just £899 – that’s a £100 saving.

Those wanting an iPad to study on can grab the latest Air for £549 which is £50 off the usual price.

There are also other price cuts on products including the iPad Pro, MacBook Pro and iMac.

Once the initial purchase has been completed, you can pick up those AirPods or other accessories—such as a Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad, or Apple Pencil—for free. 

Students heading to an Apple Store or online can also trade-in older devices to get something new and get free Apple TV+ when thet take out an Apple Music Student subscription.

Apple says the deal is running from now until October 21, 2025 and these price cuts aren’t the only
