Veteran rider sits one point behind Hunter Lawrence after Round 7

Eli Tomac secured his 56th career Supercross 450SX win in Seattle on Saturday, moving to second in the overall standings. He now sits one point behind series leader Hunter Lawrence, 124 to123.

Tomac entered the weekend coming off a crash in the previous round that dropped him to third in points, but he arrived at Lumen Field ready to race.

In the Main Event, Tomac led the pack into the first turn before Cooper Webb edged him out for the holeshot. Tomac settled into second while Aaron Plessinger followed in third.

Plessinger challenged early and briefly moved into second, but Tomac quickly reclaimed the position. Moments later, Plessinger slipped to fourth after Ken Roczen made a pass.

Tomac overtook Webb with about eight minutes remaining and steadily extended his lead to the checkered flag.

“Tomac marches back,” commentators said.

Tomac’s win marked the 56th of his 450SX career. Webb finished second and Justin Cooper placed third.

Afterward, Tomac noted the rough track conditions in Seattle, calling it “one of the toughest” circuits on the schedule.

“I got the best start and had my best ride in the Main Event. I cleaned up some lines, did some different jump combinations, and this was just typical Seattle, and one of the toughest rounds that we have on the schedule,” Tomac told Team KTM. “I am glad to come here and get back on top, as the last couple of weekends have been a little tough, so we’re back at it!”

In the first heat, Roczen grabbed the holeshot while Jason Anderson and Christian Craig crashed behind him. Malcolm Stewart ran second and Justin Hill in third as Tomac worked his way forward from seventh. Roczen won the heat, followed by Cooper and Tomac.

In the second heat, Webb took the holeshot while Lawrence and Chase Sexton battled for position. Lawrence briefly passed Webb before Webb recovered the lead. Webb’s advantage was short‑lived, though, as a crash allowed Lawrence and Plessinger through. Webb quickly rebounded to second but could not run down Lawrence, who took the win.

Round seven of the 2026 Supercross season is set for Feb. 21 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
