K-pop supergroup BTS members RM and V discharged from South Korean military service


Young fans are counting down as K-pop supergroup BTS gets nearer a comeback.

Popular band members RM and V were were discharged from the South Korean military service on Tuesday.

It has left fans salivating, with fellow members Jin and J-Hope already discharged from the military, and Jimin, Jung Kook and Suga ending their service on June 21.

RM and V were cheered on by dozens of fans as they left their military base dressed in army uniforms.

They promised to be back performing soon.

“To all the ARMYs who have waited for us in the military, I want to say I am truly, truly grateful,” V told the crowd.

“Please wait just a little longer and we will return with a really cool performance.”

Holding a flower bouquet, RM said he was looking forward to getting back on stage.

“Members would feel the same but stage performance, I want to perform the most,” he said.

“I’ll work hard to make an album soon and come back to the stage.”

BTS, who have a global fan club with millions of loyal followers, have not released a project since 2022.

“After pursuing our own little ventures, we are now coming back together and I love that for us,” J-Hope said in December.
