LEGO releases first look at kids TV favourite Bluey in block form ahead of June 1 shelf date

A sneak peek of LEGO’s highly awaited Bluey series has just been revealed ahead of the product range’s June 1 release date.

The collaboration follows a dominant year of TV ratings in 2024, where Bluey was the most-streamed series in the US, and consolidated its position as the most popular children’s show on Australian broadcast TV.

Roberta Cardazzo, Design Manager on LEGO DUPLO Bluey, suggested Bluey’s introduction to the LEGO world was a natural fit.

“We are over the moon to bring the fun of Bluey to life with our new LEGO 4+ and LEGO DUPLO sets,“ she said.

“Just like Bluey and her family, these sets are all about having ‘Heaps of Fun’ and encouraging children and families to explore their creativity and imagination, all while learning through play.“

The TV show follows the adventures of the animated Blue Heeler and her family as she navigates everyday life as a six-year-old.

Suzy Lee Raia, SVP of Global Consumer Products at BBC Studios, revealed there would be six LEGO Blue sets available for kids as young as two years old.

Though with large bricks, they encourage children as young as 18 months to immerse in the fun.

“With 154 episodes and 20 ‘Minisodes,’ there are countless memorable games, moments, and stories from the series that families all over the world can recreate and reimagine together with these fantastic sets,” Ms Lee said.

The range features Bluey at the beach, getting ice cream, having a tea party, among other relatable activities.

Individual products are expected to sell for between $7.99 and $99.99.

Bluey’s first episode aired in Australia in 2018.
