Bishop Auckland Retail Park will soon be home to a Nando’s restaurant, following approval of signage on January 15 by Durham County Council.
Approved signage includes a red perspex sign of the restaurant’s branding and a round sign, both featuring internal, static illumination – which will be allowed to be lit up only during public opening hours.
These signs will be placed at Unit 12 of Bishop Auckland Retail Park where Nando’s is set to open its newest restaurant.
Nando’s Chickenland Ltd, represented by agent Mr Sam Harper of Firstplan, submitted the application for the signage.
Consent for the signage will be valid until December 3, 2029.
The development is required to comply with approved plans, and the signs must be maintained in good condition to avoid public danger or visual impairment.
Standard requirements under the Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) (England) Regulations 2007 also apply.
