NSW Blues v Queensland Maroons game time, results, scores, kick off, odds, how to watch

For most, Origin is a once-a-year festivity.

For the Pattersons, who’ve come all the way from Kakadu National Park, it’s their first trip to Sydney, for an 18th birthday, 40th birthday and a honeymoon all in one.

“We’ve come from Kakadu National Park in Jabiru,” says Nathaniel Patterson.

“We’re not really going for anyone hardcore, but we’re here to watch a good game.”

His daughter, Layla Patterson, disagrees. She’s asked to come for her 18th because she loves the Maroons, and is here with her partner.

“I am big supporter of Queensland… it’s my first time leaving the Northern Territory, I thought our dry season up there was cold,” she said.

The family is excited to experience an Origin atmosphere.

“I think the biggest crowd we went to in Darwin was an AFL game, and that was about 7000, so I think it’s going to be a little bit different this one,” Nathaniel said.
