Spacey Jane: Beloved Perth indie band announces first show in more than a year at The Rosemount


Spacey Jane will return to the live stage this week after a year-long hiatus and has promised fans a preview of new music.

The beloved Perth indie rock band announced they will play an intimate show at The Rosemount Hotel on Tuesday night, ahead of the release of their new single, All The Noise, this week.

The surprise pop-up gig marks the band’s first show in more than a year and at a hometown venue that helped their rise to stardom.

The rockers took to Instagram on Monday to make the announcement, telling fans tickets will go on sale at 10am on Tuesday, just hours before the show.

“Get your clicking fingers ready, have a feeling these won’t last long. might even play a couple new songs,” the band said.

Music lovers and Spacey fans took to the comments in a flurry within minutes of the news.

Fellow WA band Great Gable said: “This is making me feel v nostalgic!”

With The Rosemount advertising their Main Room as having a 350-strong standing capacity, the limited tickets are set to be hot property.

Ticket sales will support Indigenous-led environmental efforts via a partnership with Plus1.

Spacey Jane released new music early last year with the song One Bad Day.

It was their latest song in about two years following the release of their second studio album, Here Comes Everybody.

The band’s upcoming song is set to be a more rock-tinged sound than previous projects.

Frontman Caleb Harper has described the song as “bigger, poppier, and layered”.

Spacey Jane have been one of WA’s biggest music success stories since they formed in 2016.

Some notable career highlights include winning an ARIA Award for Song of the Year, 15 songs featuring in Triple J’s Hottest 100 over the years and selling 85,000 tickets on their last album tour.
