The Wiggles are set to perform in Perth later this year, celebrating the popular character The Tree of Wisdom, played by the nephew of original Blue Wiggle Anthony Field.
The children’s entertainers are kicking off a festive Tree of Wisdom Australian tour in Perth at RAC Arena on November 1.
This high-energy extravaganza set in a spectacular 360-degree arena show is sure to have the whole family singing, dancing and Wiggling as the man behind the twirling trunk, Dominic Field, and friends take centre stage.
Field’s character, The Tree of Wisdom, has taken the internet by storm with his signature dance moves going viral on social media and reaching a parent fan base that includes Khloe Kardashian.
The tour will also celebrate the release of The Wiggles’ new album, set to come out on October 3, with two singles available now.
The tracks, unveiled on Tuesday, include a re-imagining of Tina Turner’s Nutbush City Limits sung by Yellow Wiggle Tsehay Hawkins and Field and a nonsense-fuelled anthem Rika-Pudy-Fan-Dan-Doogly.
The Wiggles founder Anthony Field said the group “wanted to surprise everyone with something big – and what’s bigger than a big dancing tree”.
“The Tree of Wisdom started as a bit of fun, but what’s blown me away is how much people, young and old, have embraced the character.
“There’s something about Dom’s energy that brings joy to everyone in the room … I’m a very proud uncle.
“We can’t wait for audiences across Australia to experience this spectacular show, especially our performance at the incredible Tamworth Country Music Festival!”
The Aussie shows are also set to feature timeless hits and sing-along moments from fan favourites including Rock-A-Bye Your Bear, Fruit Salad Yummy Yummy and Hot Potato!
Plus all new favourites like Big Red Ute and Bin Night.
With more than three billion music streams, six billion views on YouTube, 30 million album and DVDs sales, and more than eight million books sold globally, The Wiggles continue to dominate the preschool entertainment scene.
Their live shows annually sell out to audiences on three continents, and their video content is seen in more than 190 countries worldwide
Tickets for the Tree of Wisdom tour go on sale at 2pm on Friday through Ticketek.
