What Kanye told Bianca Censori and why naked Grammys stunt cost him $32m

Kanye West has lost a $32million deal to play in Japan as a result of his controversial stunt at the Grammys, according to sources in Tokyo.

West, 47, had signed up to do two shows at the Tokyo Dome in May but following the naked display on the red carpet of the Grammys on Sunday night with his wife Bianca Censori, his investors have taken fright.

A source said: “Kanye is just f***ing up every opportunity that comes to him. The stunt was creepy beyond belief and has been greeted with horror in Japan.

“Japan is having a cultural awakening about women’s rights and the MeToo movement is really strong here. What he did is being seen as an act of coercive control which is utterly unacceptable. He has completely culturally misjudged Japan.”

This is unfortunate as he has been living in a hotel in Tokyo for most of the last year.

West was seen issuing commands to Ms Censori, on Sunday night.

A lip reader, Nicola Hickling, says that he told Ms Censori, 30, wearing a black fur coat over a mesh ensemble with no underwear: “You’re making a scene now”.

She nodded and he told her: “Make a scene, I’ll say it’ll make so much sense”.

He added: “Drop it behind you and then turn, I got you.’”

She then tells him: “All right, let’s go.”

West and Ms Censori left soon after the red carpet walk, and were pictured getting into a limo.

A source said: “The investors in Japan who are backing the concerts are extremely upset by this. It is highly likely that they will pull the funding for the shows.

“He has greatly misjudged the tolerance of the Japanese people towards these activities. He’s just not welcome any more. This will be a big blow for him because he has been living in Japan for around a year now.”

There is also fury among his American colleagues and backers over the stunt which was pulled in front of billboards asking for charitable donations to aid those who lost their homes and their lives in the wildfires in Los Angeles earlier this month.

One said: “This was totally disrespectful to the Grammys. To pull a stunt at what is essentially a fundraiser and in the context of what has been going on in LA is almost inconceivably stupid, crass and wrong. It’s a f***-up on a huge scale, but all Kanye is interested in at the moment is launching his cryptocurrency, and everything else seems to pass him by.”

The artist, who goes by Ye, was meant to launch a new album, Bully, before Christmas.

However, it’s yet to come out and I’m told that it is now “indefinitely delayed” because he is not happy with it.

As to why Ms Censori has been wearing next to nothing for almost two years, the feeling among his circle is that he is acting out a shared exhibitionist/voyeuristic kink.

It’s also been suggested that he regards her both as an artist and an art form – and that she shares the opinion that what they are doing is art, and that she is his muse.

Former wife Kim Kardashian, who had four children with him during their seven-year marriage, said West was controlling.

Others call him domineering, unstable and narcissistic.
